A monogrammed bathrobe is only as good as the robe it's embroidered on. Too many personalized robes are mass-produced overseas, embroidered by machine, and sold as if the name is what makes them special. The name is not what makes them special. The robe is what makes them special.
"The embroidery is only as good as the robe beneath it. Start with handmade craftsmanship, and personalization becomes an extension of that care."
At Robeworks, every monogrammed bathrobe starts the same way every other Robeworks robe starts: cut and sewn by hand in our Los Angeles, California studio. The same artisans who build the robe apply the embroidery — in-house, with the same attention to detail. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is rushed.
Our proprietary fabric construction — a refined microfiber exterior over a plush terrycloth interior — is what has made Robeworks the trusted choice of five-star hotels and spas since 1995. When you embroider a name or monogram onto a robe built at this level, the result is something that will be used and appreciated every day for years.
Choosing your embroidery style comes down to the occasion and your taste. A single initial reads as modern and minimal — suitable for any robe, any color, any person. The three-letter monogram (first, LAST, middle) is the formal, traditional choice: always at home on a wedding gift, an anniversary present, or anything meant to be kept for a long time. A full name is the warmest option — personal and direct, the natural choice for bridal parties and gifts where the message is "this is specifically for you."
Thread color matters more than most people realize. White thread on a white robe creates a beautiful, tonal result — subtle and refined. Dark thread on light robes provides maximum contrast. Gold thread on any robe reads as premium and deliberate. For the discerning customer, we can offer a full palette of thread colors and our team is happy to advise on combinations — just reach out before ordering.
If you're ordering for a bridal party or corporate event, place your order with a good amount of lead time. Personalized orders require an additional 7–10 business days of production before shipping, and demand for wedding robes is highest from April through October. Rush options are sometimes available — contact us directly to discuss your timeline.
